People have always been fascinated with ongoing construction as well as the equipment that is used to construct various buildings. You see, there are a lot of different types and sizes of construction equipment and each of these has its own special tasks in completing a construction project. Today, you will be amazed at how the equipment you were fascinated with as a child has transformed and kept up with the times. A lot of the equipment from years back has been downsized or upsized to suit different purposes but for the same tasks they were originally designed to do. For instance, a steer loader that used to be huge currently has a mini version. It has become a bit more compact that it can even fit into a pick up truck but does the same job as its big brothers — they trench, move earth, and dig holes to sink posts in. Meanwhile, there are also equipment that have become bigger and suited to do the same task but on a much larger scale. A good example is the lowly crane that has evolved into the larger knuckle boom cranes that have “knuckles” in the middle of the arm which can be bent like fingers and are designed to carry more payloads.
Just like the common crane and the steer loader, trucks have also evolved and now come in various sizes even as they retain their purpose in a construction site. We can now see smaller trucks which are commonly known as pick up trucks and we have larger trucks like dump truck units that come in various sizes. Like the steer loader and the crane, these trucks are used for the same purpose and that is to carry dirt, payload, and other construction site debris as well as other equipment such as a compact loader or a grader. They might have evolved in size and they may have features that were not present as before but they work the same way they did back then, albeit more advanced and packed with more functions that are quite useful in almost any construction site.
